Two 3-balls for round 3, one point each, and a half-point double, two and a half points in all. Andrew Novak leads the VidantaWorld Mexico Open on 14 under after a second-round 61. Ben Griffin, our other outright selection, is tied second on 11 under, and Ghim is on nine under, five shots back.
Doug Ghim 6/4, 1pt
3-ball, round 3, v Marco Penge and Jackson Suber
Penge leads the group on 10 under, with Suber and Ghim on nine. Ghim has played 65 and 68, Penge 64 and 68 and Suber 66 and 67. At 6/4 Ghim is the favourite of the three, with Penge at 7/4 and Suber at 15/8. He was second at the Bank of Utah Championship earlier this month and is the outright bet already on this week’s card, so a good round helps both.
Cam Davis 13/8, 1pt
3-ball, round 3, v Sudarshan Yellamaraju and Nick Hardy
All three are on four under. Davis has played 71 and 67, Yellamaraju 66 and 72 and Hardy 70 and 68. Yellamaraju is the 11/8 favourite and Hardy 9/4, with Davis in between at 13/8. The direction of travel is Davis’s: he improved by four shots on Friday while Yellamaraju lost six, so one point at 13/8.
Griffin and Dahmen 15/4, 0.5pts double
Double, round 3, both 3-balls to win
Griffin is 9/10 in a 3-ball with Adrien Dumont de Chassart and Kensei Hirata. All three are on 11 under, with Griffin on 64 and 67, Dumont de Chassart on 64 and 67 and Hirata on 63 and 68. Dahmen is 6/4 in a 3-ball with Chad Ramey and Cameron Tankersley, all three on five under, with Dahmen on 67 and 70, Ramey on 68 and 69 and Tankersley on 71 and 66. The two prices make 15/4 and both legs have to win.
Prices are BoyleSports’ on Saturday 31 October. A 3-ball bet backs the player to post the lowest score in the group in round 3. Stakes are in points, and all three bets are settled on the record.
